Projekt jest realizowany w ramach Programu „Młodzież w działaniu” przy wsparciu finansowym Komisji Europejskiej.
OPIS PROJEKTU:
This EVS project is bassed in Mussomeli, Italy and the project involves three EVS volunteers form Poland, one sending organization and one hosting organization. The duration of the EVS servive will be 6 months, form March to August.
Volunteers will work about 30 hours per week and they will have free weekends and 2 days off per month.
The role of the volunteers will be cooperate with the members of the association. The host organization don’t want volunteers fall into routine, for this reason there will be many activities in which they will be involved, in particular: Arcipark, Baby - Parking, Info - Youth Desk and Europe desk, Volunteering service in partner organizations of ”Strauss”.
In the frame of these activities, volunteer will be involved as following:
1) ArciStrauss Park: Cultural Association Strauss has been entrusted of the maintenance of public garden in the centre of Mussomeli. The project is part of the ”Regulations for the assignement in favor of private or public subject of the regular maintenance of new public green areas as well as the care and embellishment of urban spaces owned by the Municipality of Mussomeli”. The host ogranization will be responsible for cleaning, maintenance, planting and ornamentation of villa Aldisio, at no charge. Above the activities and tasks for volunteers:
- maintenance of the infrastructure
- conservation, protection and support activities
- picking litters,
- cutting and/or planting plants,
- raising public awareness, eco-education and environmental activities.
2) Baby - Parking: it is structure that organize free-time activities to children aged 3-12, they organize leisure activities, birthday parties, excursions, ect. In this structure EVS volunteers will take part to the activities by supporting the staff, organizing recreational activities.
3) Info - Youth desk: within this sector volunteers will have the following main tasks:
- welcome visitors who come to this center, lisen to their requests, search on Internet and look up information they would like to have about work, universities, mobility, etc.
- monitor regularly publication of several calls or competitions that could interests young people and generally the local community and therefore print the material to be affixed on the dashboard of the host organization and at other centers spread in the community, where information could be taken by interested people,
- take care of the internet point, print and fax services, made available to the community by the association,
4) Europe desk: in this area volunteers will be monitored constantly (in addition to the supervisor as for all other activities) form the referent of PLD Eurodesk and they will have these following tasks:
- give visitors all kind if information abour European programms, policies and, in general, on all the opportunities offered by the EU to youth,
- manage the numerous cultural exchange in which Strauss takes part as sending organization including: take care of the contacts (telephone or email) with the host organizations, select the participants, help the participants in the travel organization (purchase tickets, insurance etc.),
- monitor regularly the intranet Eurodesk and the email of the association,
- help the staff on writing projects, in order to learn how to prepare a good project and receive information on the topics wihich generally Strauss competes,
5) Cooperation with organizations and association that cooperate with the HO,
Volunteers will be housed in an apartament very comfortable and just 5 minutes walking form our association. The apartament is divided in 7 rooms. There is a new big kitchen provided of all furniture (oven refrigerator, microwave and a coffe machine) and kitchenware that the HO just bought less than 2 years ago. Besides there are a big living room , a large bathroom, a secret room where to set many things. Kitchen is very good and new, alimented with gas cylinder. There are also 3 bed rooms: 2 double and a single one. In the house internet will be available for them 24/h.
Volunteers will recieve the pocket money (115 EUR) and food allowance at the begining of each month.
